Best soup n sandwich that changes everyday

Prices were very reasonable and the food was great. I thought the establishment was very quaint and cute. It's an adequately named building. My visit did not disappoint.

Wow, careful Caledonia, you might be getting cool. Mocha Lisa cafe and now the Soup Shanty. Talk about super tasty and cozy. And accommodating. I despise ranch dressing and they were kind enough to give me oil and vinegar on the side for my veggie wrap instead. Sloshed the wrap down with some hot tomato soup and a coffee. Unique, individual coffee cups at a self-serve station helps explain the ethos behind this place: cute and different. Keep it up folks.

Great owner and great food. Would definitely recommend for a quaint bite to eat in a rural setting.

Good soup and sandwich. Had the caprese sandwich and it had minimal cheese. Would have liked a thick slice of fresh mozzarella rather than the one thin slice of cheese

4/5/2019 We ordered carryout of the fish fry and a large clam chowder. This is the first time we've been disappointed with the Soup Shanty. The North Atlantic Cod looked good as it had a unique coating but there was way too much thyme in the spice mix. To make matters worse, a similar spice mix was used on the potatoes. The clam chowder left an overwhelming aftertaste of oregano, almost to the point of burning our mouths. We hope this is not a sign of things to come for the Soup Shanty.

The food was really good, but the service did not feel very welcoming. I believe the lady (Shoulder length black/brown hair with glasses) that served us was the owner and she was very moody. When I requested no onions on my sandwich, she gave me a rude look. She never said "hello" when we arrived. Then when we were sitting and eating, she would stare at us while washing other tables like she wanted us to leave soon. Hated the service.

What a little gem I just happened to drive by. More places should serve a jalapeno popper grilled cheese. It's quite tasty. Maybe I'll ask to add bacon next time. The parmesan garlic fries are good, might need a bit more garlic or salt to not be found wanting without ketchup. I'll be going back to try the soup.

Service is fast. Food is great. Priced fair. Come and check it out when their not busy is my suggestion. But they do well providing table service inside and out. Come and sit comfortably outside on nice days enjoying the country like atmosphere. As it's a good place to enjoy the day with friends or business partners...It seems Five soups are always ready to be served

Way to expensive, I mean the good is good but the two sandwiches and small soup I got was not worth the $35.00 I spent.

It’s good fresh healthy home cooking to eat n or take out. Soups, salads n Sandwiches are tasty. I will go out of my way to eat there.

Wow! Delicious little soup hut! I loved everything I tried here for lunch. The soups were original and the service was great.

Very quaint place. Split ham & pea soup was so delicious, definitely tasted homemade. Grilled cheese needed a lil help could of used a slice of good American cheese for flavor. My lunch companion thought the Chicken Cordon blu was fabulous. Chicken is legit, fries very tasty. They need Italian paninis though other than cheese & tomato.

Location / Atmosphere - Nice surprise didn't expect the atmosphere from the outside. Very clean and well managed. Came in early to grab a quick bit for lunch and get a little work done. Resurant filled up quickly and I felt bad tieing up a table. So myy visit was cut short. Food / Beverage - I had the Chili and 1/2 Bevarian sandwhich was perfectly done and a perfect size. Nice to see a resurant making 'home made' soups and sandwhiches. Enjoyed my stay.Service - Very friendly, pleasant and attentive service even with the Valentines day crowd. In summary - A very nice place. Hope to re-visit the next time that I'm in the area.

Absolutely amazing. Theres something on the menu for everyone and the food is amazing!

After moving not too far away, we tried it because we enjoy Panera, however, there's not one close anymore and we prefer supporting local businesses especially when they're far better than chain restaurants. Also, their parmesan fries are to die for.

They got real good fries.

good, medium portions but priced just a tad too high. They should have a special with maybe $.50 lower than posted menu

Very clean little soup and sandwich shop that serves up some quality food, would not hesitate to go there again it's an order at the counter and grab a table and seat which there is only about 7 or 8 tables from Memory and was very busy but was worth the little wait to get a table food came fast to the table and was very tasty and well made

What a nice find. Great outdoor seating, very friendly staff, and the food...excellent. I had the Buffalo chicken panini sandwich. Highly recommend it.Give these folks a shot, you'll like it.

1st time here, had the 4 soup sampler, excellent! Soups had great flavor and not overly salty! Will be back to try some of the other soups and sandwiches.

Extremely expensive for 2 wraps and two 8 oz soups, $27.00. Clam chowder was terrible,didnt taste like clam chowder. Campbells clam chowder for 99 cents blows theirs away. Wraps average and charged 50 cents for carry out. Cant believe there still in business,first and last time I will go there.

Good soup and sandwiches, GF options, Im trying the Fish Fry next time, looked like a very good portion of fish.

Really delicious. My strawberry and walnut salad with poppyseed dressing was delicious. My bf got the veggie sandwich with parm fries and mushroom soup...was delicious 🙂
